As a professional recruiter, I go after people who aren’t looking for jobs and try to convince them to come work at my company. Specifically, in technology recruiting, it’s highly competitive. So, software engineers are getting about 10 messages per week from people like me and including me. I have to craft witty and engaging messages to get these potential candidates to just talk to me on a daily basis. And I’ve been doing it professionally for about 5 years.

This has served me well as I’ve been bumbling. Until now. I blame the Pinot? Wonder why I haven’t heard back?
